The central London Congestion charge is an 8 pound daily charge for driving within the Congestion Charging zone between 7am and 6.00pm Mon-Fri. Evenings, weekends, public holidays and the days between Christmas Day and New Years Day incl are free.
Payment of the 8 pound daily charge can be made by text message on the day of travel but you will need to first register for this service on 0845 900 1234 or at www.cclondon.com.
You can also pay the day after travelling in the zone but this will cost you 10 pounds and this can only be paid online at www.cclondon.com or by phone on 0845 900 1234 .
Payments can be made with debit and credit cards.
